Before joining Montana, he acted as independent advisor on behalf of two European private equity investors. In this capacity, he led a team to manage a diversified portfolio of control investments in Europe and North America, successfully guiding each company to exit over the course of c. 4 years. Furthermore, in the role of CIO, he ran global private investing for a leading European family with a focus on mid-market fund and co-investments. Prior to that, Stephan led the direct investment teams of two single family offices to pursue control investments in consumer & retail companies. He began his career in 2004 with UBS Investment Bank in M&A advisory in London and Frankfurt. Stephan holds a Dr. rer. pol. of Business and Economics from Otto-Beisheim School of Management, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Münster and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Samford University, USA.
Jan Ramsay
Director
Before joining MCP, Jan was a Director at UBS and responsible for evaluating, selecting and monitoring private equity funds on a global basis for the Private Bank. Prior to that he spent ten years at Credit Suisse predominantly working in a similar capacity within the Private Equity Group. Jan started his career within the Sales & Trading Services at Credit Suisse in Zurich. Jan holds a B.A. HSG in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
